William Fleeson is a writer and journalist based in his native, beloved Washington, DC.
His work has appeared in BBC Travel, National Geographic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere. One of his pieces was nominated for the Best American Essays anthology. He was a finalist for the New Millennium Writing Award in 2020 and again in 2021, and a finalist in Narrative’s Winter 2022-2023 Story Contest.
He also runs the Substack called Travel for Real: Places, Books, Strong Feelings.
